An Australian man who vaulted over a barricade and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and barred from Singapore.

The man, 26, was given a sentence to nine days in detention for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities told news outlets.

Wen pushed through camera crews and approached aggressively the performer and artist, who was present at the Asian premier for the film on the thirteenth of November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

The individual has a record of causing disturbances at events and high-profile gatherings, including rushing the stage at the pop star's Australian show in June this year.

The event sparked outrage in Singapore, with several individuals saying he of re-traumatising Grande.

The singer has discussed experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at her performance in Manchester in several years ago killed 22 individuals and injured hundreds.

In the legal process, the judge was informed he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event multiple times, according to Singaporean media.

He then made a another effort to breach security. Protection personnel prevented him and held him in place.

The man subsequently shared videos thanking Grande for allowing his presence and said he was "released."

Authorities detained him the following day and charged him with public nuisance, to which he confessed.

The Presiding Judge the judicial official was quoted by media reports as saying that Wen was "attention seeking", noting that he was incorrect to assume he would not suffer any consequences.

The actress has not spoken about the case.

Cynthia Erivo mentioned the incident to the press, saying that she "simply desired to ensure my colleague was protected."

"I think he had no intention to us harm, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I sought to confirm that she was OK. That was my initial reaction," she said.
